You will be picked up at your accommodation in Cape Town by a Fly in Safari Company guide in an air-conditioned vehicle. This tour has the focus on Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, both situated within the Cape Floristic Kingdom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Table Mountain is Cape Town’s most prominent landmark and one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of Nature’. On top of the mountain you can enjoy various viewpoints of Cape Town, the harbour and Table Bay on one side, and breathtaking views of Camps Bay, the Atlantic, the Peninsula and Robben Island on the other side. A short drive takes you to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
More than just a garden, Kirstenbosch is part of a nature reserve. The 36-hectare garden is part of a 528-hectare estate that contains protected mountainside supporting natural forest and fynbos along with a variety of animals and birds. The Kirstenbosch Estate borders the Table Mountain National Park, and the Garden merges seamlessly with the natural fynbos and forest of the mountain. Unique attractions in the garden include; the Tree Canopy Walkway, The Garden of Extinction that features vegetation that has gone extinct in the wild and only remains in Kirstenbosch and the Botanical Society Conservatory to name a few. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the garden before returning to your Cape Town accommodation.
